Prof. (Eng.) Sandrine Ngalula MUBENGA, PE,
Prof. Dr. Ir. Ngalula Sandrine MUBENGA, PhD, PE, SMIEEE is the Chief Executive Officer of the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ARE) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005, her master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2008, and her doctorate in Electrical Engineering in 2017, all from the University of Toledo, USA where she is also a professor in the College of Engineering. Her research areas include electric vehicles, battery management systems, and renewable energy systems. As a Power Engineer, her experience in the industry includes distribution planning, energy management, distributed generation, and regulation. Since 2011, she is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio, USA. From 2011 to 2020, she was the Founder and President of SMIN Power Group, a solar developer with offices in the DRC and the USA. From 2017 to 2020, she served as Board Member at the National Society of Electricity ( SNEL) in DRC. She is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. |
